Tour Details

In Walker Bay in August, September & October we get some of the Worlds best land based whale watching. We take a 2 hour drive from Cape Town to Hermanus via the beautiful coastline from Gordons Bay to Rooi Els. We can make a quick stop to see the Penguins at Betty’s Bay or for a walk in the Gardens at Harold Porter Nature Reserve and then on to Hermanus. In Hermanus you may see Southern Right, Humpback and Brydes whales which have come up from the Antarctic to the warmer waters around South Africa to give birth.   You can search for bargains in the craft markets and shops of this quaint old fishing village. We return to Cape Town via Sir Lowry’s Pass with its spectacular view across the Cape Flats all the way to Table Mountain. An option is to detour via the Hemel en Aarde valley for some wine tasting.
