Tour Details

After pickup at your Accommodation we head north along the N1  and through the impressive Dutoitskloof Pass towards Touws River. We arrive at Aquila in time for a welcome drink and a sumptuous buffet lunch. After lunch you check in to your room and freshen-up in time for the 2 1/2 hour afternoon game drive. The drive is in the classic open vehicle so you really get up close and personal with the animals. You will see all the big 5 (don’t know what they are – there are clues below) as well as a selection of antelopes, zebra and other animals. These animals are mostly indigenous to this area which was teeming with game until a couple of hundred years ago. After your game drive we return to your room where you can wash off the dust. In summer you can relax in and around the outdoor pool. In winter you can relax inside around a nice log fire. Another sumptuous buffet for dinner (there are options for all common dietary requirements) After dinner you can relax in the lounge or your room before bed. The animals get up early in the morning, and so must you for your two hour morning safari drive. After which you should be hungry enough to enjoy yet another sumptuous buffet. After breakfast you need to checkout of your room, but there is still time to enjoy the facilities before we return to Cape Town.
